In my opinion yes, because international volunteers can help local communities. So, volunteer tourism is a multifaceted phenomenon that combines signs of such types of tourism, such as ecotourism, sustainable tourism, alternative tourism, adventure tourism, cultural tourism. Any volunteering trip is carried out within a special program - volunteer. The project involves participation in international youth volunteers camps And I think it's very cool, and it needs to be further developed.

From my point of view, i think that volunteer tourism is ethical, because international volunteers can help local communities. It also can raise international awareness about real problems, but for the most part this issue is known. In most cases volunteer tourism is ethical. By definition, volunteering is a good thing and the main purpose is to help promote goodness and to improve human quality of life. Unfortunately, volunteer tourism, that should be only a good thing, can be also unethical. Many volunteers are intersting doing this only for the pictures. As a matter of fact, in some cases are voluteers that show interss only in helping, but they have no proper qualification and they are unaware of the real problems from communities. To be clear, i think volunteer tourism is a good thing and the people should not be disouraged by the fact that volunteering can also be unethical. Having good intentions and doing a little bit of reserch on the matter can prevent the negative effects.

If you ask me, volunteer tourism has both pros and cons. As pros I would mention that it is a way of helping the ones that are in need, the possibility of bringing money to the community that is helped and the possibility to experience a new culture. The cons, in my opinion, would be that sometimes the people that go on a trip like this do not alway plan to involve in activities from which the community can benefit from, some of them involve in this kind of activity just to show off, or other are not just as skilled as they should for the activities that they want to make. But, all in all, I consider that the pros prevail over the cons, and, to answer the question, volunteer tourism could be ethical just for the fact that, in essence, it is a type of volunteer, which means helping the others with no financial interest. However, it could be considered ethical only when it implies activities that the community can benefit from.

In my opinion, the main issue with the voluntourism is the fact that its primary purpose is to travel, and after it includes a volunteer component. Let's say, for example that while visiting Guatemala you want do do also some good for the local communities and spend time from a few hours to several days at teaching English to the children there. What is the problem in this case? Well, we need to analyse if the locals can start developing and handle their problems on their own, using their own resources and set of knowledge after the volunteers leave or if they are on their way to addiction to them. For example, in the case of the volunteer programs that involves childreen the effects can be negative from a psychological point of view because the people around them constantly change. In the case of voluntourism it can be effective and it can raises international awarness about real problems only if the location is one where your work will matter and you don't choose it only because is a place where you would like to travel. Last but not least, volunteering has some well-known traps, such as the fact that it is can become just a means of impressing. For a better CV experience or a public image (especially for celebrities), volunteers engage in such projects only to try to impress friends and colleagues with stories about international experiences and heroic contributions. After taking these factors into account, I chosed the answer number two, while paying attention to the importance of the conditions under which volunteering programs are carry out. It starts with setting some goals. After that, it is important to understand if you have the skills to contribute to the host community and how you can improve local development. Also the community must be an active part of the volunteer program. For example, they need to be consulted to see which are their current needs and how they can be achived.

Is volunteer tourism ethical?Yes, because international volunteers can help local communities. But if to go deeper in this question, i would say no, because international volunteers are more interested in taking selfies of themselves than really helping poor people in some cases. It depends on people's character and is all about their real interest of helping poor strangers. For me, it is better to donate money in hands of needed people rather than pay them to private companies in order to travel abroad and pretend to help without any qualification received beforeahead. I am really into this quotation: "If you plant papayas you can not get mangoes". I liked Daniela Papi's speech about real gaps in voluntourism. In my opinion it is necessary to learn first before we can help. The difference between sympathy and empathy is crusial. Empathy is the best way to spread the ability to understand and share the feelings of another instead of feeling of pity and sorrow for someone else's misfortune. Everything in voluntourism must be based on empathy learning and development education tourism because education travel has so much potential. I guess that in order to avoid expluatation of native culture and low qualification of some volunteers, voluntourism organzations must be more careful and hypercritical to people who are going to go abroad for volunteering. It will not get rid of customers but will gain high authority level among universal market.

The volunteer tourism is ethical. In my opinion, it can help local communities. That is why it raises international awareness about problems in social, medical and educational spheres. Besides, volunteer tourism can provide an understanding of what really people need, and what they feel, and then understand how you can help hem. It is important to donate money for different organizations, but when you communicate with a person, you can share with your love, with your warmth and show sympathy.

From my point of view, volunteer tourism is intrinsically essential. It gives people from different countries an opportunity to share their experience and show the reality of their life. Volunteer tourism can be explained as the way of communication and common understanding . Moreover we need to develop it in order to improve some painful and difficult moments in one or another country. This is the way of help, which involves sharing the important information about really significant issues and problems. Through it people can both help someone, who need, and draw attention of whole world community to his issue.

What is the purpose of volunteer tourism - tourism or charity? Anything have "+"and "-". I think it's better to help someone you know and understand his needs. Help is good, and methods to implement it will be offered by professionals who know how to do it better. Money and time volunteers give willingly to noble goals and even if they need it to self-fulfill their own ambitions. However, people often do not appreciate what they receive for free, for example, as these courses of EUROSCI. But let Volunteering will stay good thing to bring positive values and thoughts in the world.

It seems to me theither core idea of volunthere tourism is to pay attention of the world community to global and local problems in developing countries. It is one of the types of charity. Volunteers find out and clarify the most striking human issues for reality, for example poverty, famine, violence, life threatening etc. A lot of states worthat to be learned and gotten help. That's why volunteer tourism is really ethical and necessary.

I'm strongly convinced that voluntourism has the potential to have an impact that is more positive than negative. Ultimately, if volunteers are cognizant of the imbalance, understand what they can and cannot do, are cautious and work hard to truly develop relationships with locals, perhaps both volunteers and host communities can benefit from volunteer tourism. However without the right preparation for such volunteer trips, voluntourism has the potential do more harm than good.
